A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse who holds a Master’s degree in nursing and has completed additional specialized education and training in advanced clinical practice. NPs are autonomous healthcare providers who diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide comprehensive primary healthcare services. NPs provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly.
